Monday, June 28, 2021
Trish, accompanied on the piano by her longtime musical collaborator John Koziol pays tribute to Eva Cassidy, a gifted singer gone much too soon. Eva died of cancer at the age of 33. Revered by her fans in her home state of Washington, Eva gained posthumous fame after her death in 1996 selling over 12 million albums of an eclectic mix of standards, blues, R&B, folk, rock, country, jazz & gospel. You’ll hear songs by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Sting, Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton & many more!
Song stylist and New York City native Trish Sisson grew up in Miami, Florida where she began singing for her supper at 16. Dinner theatre, casino showrooms, cruise ship revues, street dances on flatbed trucks, piano bars, state & county festivals & most recently the social media screen, Trish is home on any stage. She has performed with Barry Gibb, Nell Carter, Gloria Estefan & Freddie Hubbard, has warmed up audiences for Ben Vereen, Don Rickles & Loretta Lynn to name but a few. Her original song "Have a Heart" has been used to raise awareness about homelessness & poverty & for organizations like AIDSWalk Miami, Children’s Cancer Society, ARC Minnesota, & the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Association. Trish loves the intimate setting of the cabaret where the power of a great lyric can be fully appreciated.
