General Manager / Co-Founder

Dr. Megan Wagner is the Co-Founder and General Manager of St. Croix Valley Opera. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Minnesota, where her doctoral research focused on Richard Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder from the performer's perspective. A dedicated voice pedagogue, Dr. Wagner maintains a private studio of over fifty singers and is passionate about guiding singers of all ages and experience levels. She shares her studio and her life with her husband and Co-Founder, Obed Floan. In her role at St. Croix Valley Opera, Dr. Wagner leads organizational operations, coordinates collaboration with musical organizations across the region, contracts musicians for productions, and oversees social media marketing and audience communications. She is committed to making the art of opera accessible, meaningful, and joyful for performers and audiences alike.
