Singer/SVI Faculty

Jennifer Eckes has a B.A. in vocal performance from Luther College, was twice a fellow of the Cabaret Conference at Yale, and has been singing professionally on stage for over two decades in theatrical productions, as a concert soloist, and as a cabaret artist. In the past year, she was seen in St. Croix Valley Opera New Year’s Eve Extravaganza, their At Home Concert, and their Cabaret Night series. Based in the Twin Cities, she has performed with notable companies such as the Ordway Center, Artistry Theater, Plymouth Playhouse, Skylark Opera Theatre, and the Minnesota Opera. Eckes has found solo opportunities at venues such as the Bloomington Center for the Arts, Hastings Arts Center, Hanifl Performing Arts Center, Bryant-Lake Bowl, Honey Lounge, Crooners, and the Nicollet Island Inn. She is touted by reviewers for her “strong, lovely voice” and an “engaging gift for song”.
