Avery Felton is a lyric soprano from Del Rio, Texas. Having spent her childhood acting and singing in over 20 plays and musicals, she went on to pursue a degree in vocal performance at the University of Oklahoma. She then attended the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University for her Master's degree. There she sang the role of Don Ettore in Haydn's La Canterina and the roles of La tasse chinoise and L'écureuil in L'enfant et les sortilèges. Avery has studied under Isabel Leonard and now studies with Alexandra LoBianco. In 2019 she joined the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre Young Artist Program for the world premiere of the Grant Wood Operas.
