SUMMER SERIES : OPERA MONTH
Each summer, St. Croix Valley Opera brings the St. Croix Valley to life through a dynamic season of performance, education, and community connection—building on our commitment to artistic excellence and emerging artist development.
Opera Month.
Opera Month is our signature summer initiative—a month-long celebration of the performing arts designed to unite audiences, artists, and community through a shared cultural experience. What begins with training, learning, and intimate performances grows into a vibrant, region-wide festival culminating in our largest public event of the year.
A SEASON WITH PURPOSE
At its core, our Summer Series reflects SCVO’s mission to advance artists while enriching the cultural life of the St. Croix Valley.
Opera Month brings that mission to life by connecting every part of our work:
-
Education → Programs like the upcoming Young Artist Program provide intensive training for emerging artists, equipping them with the tools to succeed on today’s stage
-
Engagement → Master classes, community events, and performances invite audiences inside the creative process
-
Performance → A growing series of concerts and events build toward a shared, large-scale artistic experience
Rather than presenting isolated events, Opera Month creates a continuous journey—one that audiences can step into at any point and follow throughout the season.
FROM TRAINING TO TRANSFORMATION
Each program builds on the last—creating momentum, deepening engagement, and strengthening the connection between artist and audience.
A MONTH OF MUSIC. A COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE.
Opera Month is more than a schedule—it’s a shared cultural moment.
Throughout the month, audiences can:
-
Discover new and emerging artists
-
Experience performances in unique and accessible settings
-
Engage directly with the artistry behind the music
-
Be part of a growing tradition in the St. Croix Valley
The journey culminates in our flagship celebration, where thousands gather for an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and community.
