Bass

Jason Wells studied music performance at Interlochen Arts Academy and DePaul University and now plays with the Des Moines Symphony, Sioux City Symphony and many other orchestras throughout the Midwest. In addition to orchestra work, he tours the county with the folk band Barbaro as well as the jazz group Shaun Johnson & the Big Band Experience. He’s also involved in the new music scene in the Twin Cities and often performs with 10th Wave Chamber Collective and Renegade Ensemble.

In addition to performing, Jason is an active teacher in the Twin Cities. He frequently teaches workshops and group classes at middle schools and high schools throughout the Twin Cities as well as bass sectionals for the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies. He teaches privately at Wayzata High School, Yinghua Academy and from his home in Minneapolis.
