Nathan Cicero (BSR 2021)

Pianist

Pianist Nathan Cicero is an energetic, engaging performer, who thrives on working collaboratively with other musicians. As a conductor, coach, and educator, he is known for his down-to-earth, congenial style, and pursuit of unique and nuanced musical experiences. Nathan is a multi-faceted musician who has worked with many local arts organizations during his time in the Twin Cities. He recently served as Assistant Conductor for Saint Croix Valley Opera’s Opera On the River concerts, as well as music director and pianist for Così fan tutte with Skylark Opera Theatre. Nathan serves as Director of Music and Organist at the Church of St. Mark in St. Paul. He interned at Baltimore’s Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, frequently conducting the semi-professional Cathedral Choir. Nathan holds a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory, where he held a graduate assistantship in Opera Accompanying working with Peabody Opera Theatre and accompanying in vocal studios. Nathan was selected for Peabody’s InterPlay program, through which he presented masterclasses and an interactive art song recital to students at the University of Maryland. A native of Wisconsin, Nathan earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
