Development Associate

Andrew Sun, Development Associate, is a Minneapolis-based pianist and arts administrator with over a decade of experience in performance, education, and nonprofit leadership. He has coached and performed in more than 50 opera productions with organizations including Minnesota Opera, Music Academy of the West, and the Merola Opera Program. He served as a staff pianist and vocal coach at the Manhattan School of Music and was an adjunct instructor at New York University. As a Resident Artist and later Executive Manager at Minnesota Opera, he supported donor cultivation, campaign planning, and artistic operations. He has appeared with Carnegie Hall Citywide, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, and premiered Ricky Ian Gordon’s Without Music in London. At SCVO, he supports development efforts through grant writing, donor communications, reporting, and fundraising-related administration.
